Chamber Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the Chamber, the membership and the business community. Their mission is to support the business community by mentoring current and new members on an on-going basis.

Volunteering as a Chamber Ambassador provides the following benefits to you and your business:

  • Meet potential business and social contacts.
  • One-on-one contact with the "movers and shakers" of the Knox County community.
  • Exposure of your name and company
  • "Sneak peek" of new businesses and invitations to celebrations in the community.


Ambassador Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate at quarterly Ambassador meetings as scheduled

  • Attend Ribbon Cuttings
  • Attend Business After Hours
  • Choose Annual Dinner award recipients
  • Serve as Official Host at all Chamber Sponsored events; including greeting members and guests, introducing guests/new members to existing membership, facilitating raffles as necessary, encouraging membership of guests.
  • Serve as mentor to assigned members
  • Make introductory calls/meetings to new members as they join.
  • Explain and give documentation of upcoming events scheduled with the Chamber.
  • Report to Chamber any issues/concerns immediately.
  • Follow up with new member at 6 month mark. This call is to encourage participation in events and to follow up on questions/concerns of new member.

In appreciation of the commitment required; several times a year Ambassadors will be singled out as the "Chamber Champion Ambassadors" and at the Annual Dinner, the "Ambassador of the Year" will be recognized..
