Key Membership Benefits
The Chamber will assist in finding available business space including land. Also, if you have space for sale or lease, email details to chamber@knoxchamber.com and we’ll add it to our list so we can share it with those seeking space.
Members may schedule the use of our conference room at no cost. Email chamber@knoxchamber.com to reserve. Our conference room seats 20, has a large white board, large screen, coffee service, and large counter for food display.
The Chamber provides free updated statistical information.
Whether you’re hosting an Open House, Ribbon Cutting, Groundbreaking, Customer Appreciation Day, or other events, the Chamber staff is experienced in helping you plan an event. You may request our Event Planning Suggestions or call our office to discuss your event. We are happy to promote.
Offered at no cost, you may schedule a personal and confidential meeting with the Chamber’s executive director, SCORE, and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Existing businesses and those wanting to start a business will benefit from these free services.
Receive a no-obligation quote for health insurance through Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance plan in Ohio, offering a large network of physicians and hospitals. For privacy and HIPAA compliance, members receive a list of local agents so they can have confidential meetings about their health insurance needs.

The Chamber’s membership list is available for free as an “Excel” attachment; or $25 for printed mailing labels to our member investors. We do keep email addresses and employee numbers private. This list is great for mailings and to start creating your own database of area companies.
Your membership decal offers visibility and credibility to your business. If you would like multiple decals for various entrances into your business, contact us and we’ll deliver them to your office. Chamber members are also welcome to display the Chamber logo on their website and brochures.
We host quarterly meetings for new Chamber members and existing members. There is no cost to attend and includes discussions on making the most of your membership; tutorial on managing your profile; and meeting other new members and exchanging business cards. Our events calendar has the upcoming dates.
Staff members are Notary Publics for the State of Ohio. We provide Notary service and stamps/embossing for Certificate of Origin for global shipping.
We invite you to provide brochures and business cards for display in our lobby and distribution packets. Members may also add their events to the Chamber’s website calendar; and we’ll promote your events too!
Your local chamber of commerce has many resources for your needs. With our network of more than 400 members, we’ll connect you to many local resources and if we don’t know the answer, we’ll make a few calls to get the assistance you are seeking.
If a business would like to schedule one of these ceremonies, contact the Chamber office to discuss and schedule. We’ll help you plan the perfect event.
Members receive a free listing linking to their website, business description, telephone, address, and “hidden” e-mail option. Enhance your listing by adding keywords through the login portal. Our site is specifically designed for chambers of commerce and “married” to our database so your information is always current when edits are made.
Save money on workers’ compensation premiums by enrolling in our group rating plan. The Chamber endorses Sedgwick and we have a long-standing relationship with them. Save up to 53% on your premiums. Sedgwick can also serve as your MCO - Managed Care Organization. Contact the Chamber office for more information.
Publications
Our Membership Directory is published annually and 1,000 copies are distributed throughout the county. It is great exposure for promoting your products and services.
Business Broadcast is a monthly, digital newsletter sent to more than 1,100 people. Content includes training sessions, events, networking opportunities, member news, events and more. It’s just one way to stay connected with your Chamber.
The Chamber sells Knox County Plat Books. It shows boundaries and ownership of rural property in Knox County. Stop in our office Monday through Friday to purchase. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Events, Networking, and Training Opportunities
Breakfast with Santa is held in December. Children and families love this event to talk with Santa, enjoy crafts, watching holiday cartoons, and eating breakfast while writing letters to Santa.
Held in April, July, and October. These morning meetings are true networking events. Bring a stack of business cards for distribution. Attendees will participate in a fun exercise exchanging cards and meeting everyone in the room. Meet your next client and reconnect with friends and other business professionals.
Business leaders and educators from pre-school to higher learning come together to kick off the academic year with introductions of school superintendents, directors, college and university presidents, and educators new to Knox County. This event was started by the founder of Kokosing Construction, Mr. Bill Burgett. We are pleased to honor the many educators in Knox County for their work in educating our future business leaders.
Each May the Chamber’s Spring Swing Golf Outing is held the Thursday before Memorial Day. This four-person scramble is a fun day with food, gifts, proximity prizes, team prizes, and more. It’s also a great day to volunteer!
HR Summit is held each year in September. HR professionals and those that are responsible for human resources at their workplace should attend. It typically is a panel of experts that will discuss important HR issues whether it is a new law or questions you have to keep your business compliant.
This annual event is held in July with proceeds benefiting the Junior Fair awards. Our members are invited to hear about their projects and honor the youth for their dedicated work preparing for the Knox County Fair.
Leadership Knox is our 10-month signature program that runs January through October. More than 400 individuals have graduated from the program. Participants will take exclusive tours and hear from approximately 100 speakers about various aspects of Knox County operations.
Held in February, May, and November. These one-hour sessions bring experts in to provide information and answer questions on a variety of topics. Topics may include: Accounting, Health Insurance, Taxes, Workers’ Compensation, Legal Matters, Insurance Coverage, QuickBooks, and more. We welcome topic suggestions and are proud to provide important and relevant contact to our business community.
The Chamber also hosts additional training sessions outside of the Power Hour events. Some classes may be two-hours, half-day, or full-day training. Check our event calendar on our website and in our monthly newsletter for details and registration.
Each month this BWC sponsored program is facilitated by the Chamber to encourage safe practices in the workplace. Visit the Chamber’s website to learn more about safety topics, additional safety classes, and read how qualifying companies may earn a rebate on their workers comp premiums.

The Chamber is a member of the Workforce Development Alliance Group (WorkDev). We are a group of area leaders including manufacturing, healthcare, education, and other business professionals. WorkDev works with business owners, job seekers, and students identifying gaps and providing resources and solutions. We review current trends, training needs, student career paths, and more.
