The goal of the Knox County Safety Council is to increase safety awareness. Safety Council holds monthly meetings and feature speakers address issues of on-the-job safety. The topics discussed range from hearing conservation, OSHA 300 logs, first-aid, to fire safety and more. These informational speeches are to inform, educate and examine possible solutions. This organization is open to any Knox County company, corporation and individual employer. There is no fee to become a member of Safety Council. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise indicated on the invitation or Web site. Meetings are held at the Dan Emmett Conference Center from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. A complete breakfast buffet is served and the cost is $10 which may be paid at the door or invoiced to Chamber members. |
