    Annual Giving & Donor Relations Manager - Marketing Department, PT

     

    The Annual Giving and Donor Relations Manager will coordinate The Foundation for KCH efforts to raise funds and support for Knox Community Hospital with a particular focus on the development and management of ongoing relationships with individual and corporate donors. This role is responsible for the administration of Foundation activities including developing and executing the annual campaign; and organizing meetings of the Foundation Board and Community Advisory Committee (formerly, “Voting Member Board”). Maintains the day to day operations of the Development office and may assist with Marketing needs as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Demonstration of effective, independent problem solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and team work skills.
    • Demonstration of outstanding customer service skills.
    • Excellent written & oral communication skills, a strong knowledge of English grammar, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
    • Presentation/public speaking skills.
    • Demonstration of effective bookkeeping skills.

    EQUIPMENT/TOOLS/SOFTWARE

    • Knowledge and skill in computer software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other Windows-based programs) required.
    • Experience with DonorPerfect, or other database and financial tracking software required.
    • Web content management experience preferred.
    • Experience with Adobe Photoshop or other graphic design software preferred.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ADMINISTRATION:

    • Plan and organize administrative activities for The Foundation.
    • Plan, design, and implement the annual campaign, campaign events, and sponsorship packages.
    • Responsible for preparing all Foundation Board materials including financial reports.
    • Attend all Foundation meetings (including Board and Community Advisory Committee) and distributes minutes and agendas.
    • Manage Foundation database and provide analytical reporting.
    • Manage all income and expenses for The Foundation.

    DONOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:

    • Cultivate relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners to enhance the reputation of The Foundation and Knox Community Hospital.
    • Utilize donor relationships and available data and research to solicit new donors, cultivate current donors, and implement moves management strategies.
    • Research corporations, foundations, and other organizations for potential opportunities.
    • Research and maintain best practices for philanthropic organizations and activities.
    • Maintain confidentiality of donors, employees, patients, physicians and all matters related to the contributions made to The Foundation and Knox Community Hospital.

    COMMUNICATION:

    • Develop content and messaging for campaign material and donor communication including mailings, promotion, and publicity.
    • Manage Foundation website and social media by ensuring that content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with The Foundation’s strategies and standards.
    • Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular tests of forms and links.
    • Participates in Marketing & Development Department meetings and maintains communication with department staff and Director regarding Development plans and activities.

    EVENT MANAGEMENT:

    • Develop and manage any Foundation events, with support of Department Director and Foundation Board and committees, staff and volunteers as needed, including logistics, budgeting, and reporting outcomes to Department Director and Board.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists in the development and management of special projects as assigned.
    • Participates in hospital activities and represents the hospital in delegated functions.
    • Participates in staff meetings, educational programs, committees, and mandatory in­ services.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of disaster/emergency procedures and responds appropriately.
    • Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual knowledge, skills, performance and behavior in accordance with hospital and department standards of care and policies and procedures.
    • Maintains confidentiality of employees, patients, physicians and all matters related to the hospital.
    • Presents a professional image.
    • Demonstrates initiative in personal/professional development.
    • Assists with control of costs through the judicious use of human and material resources.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements Include

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor of Arts in Business, Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
    • Professional experience in fundraising or philanthropy.
    • Donor database or Customer Relationship Management experience preferred.
    • Volunteer/Board service experience preferred.
